Stryker Corporation is seeking a production worker to assemble components for multiple product lines at our Portage, MI facility. The role involves preparing mechanical and electrical parts, following detailed work instructions and test procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a High School or GED and manufacturing experience. Onsite schedule is 2nd shift, with overtime and a $2 shift premium plus benefits; travel is None.

Work Flexibility

Onsite Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday- Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, OT 2 Saturdays per month

What you will do

Under general supervision, assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components to contribute to completion of a variety of products Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required Uses a variety of tools that may include, but are not limited to: manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.

Work Flexibility

Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
