Job summary

Cubic Corporation in Tennessee is seeking an Assembler to join the Cubic Integrated Supply Chain. You will assemble cables, subassemblies, and final assemblies per prints, work instructions, and travelers under supervision.

You will operate tools and equipment, move between stations as models vary, and follow SAP-ME processes with basic NC handling. Applicants should lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic blueprint reading is required.
  • Able to place parts together as shown on prints.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles parts per prints with limited supervision.
  • Works at different workstations as production requires.
  • Works on line where tasks vary with model changes.
  • Utilizes basic ESD practices where applicable.
  • Operates/sets up machines and hand tools to assemble components.
  • Follows SAP-ME processes and non-conformance basics in ME.

Job Summary

Performs tasks necessary to assemble cables, subassemblies, and/or final assemblies in accordance with drawings, work instructions, work cell designs, and shop floor travelers. This position works under direct supervision.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assembles parts together as shown on the prints with limited supervision.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
  • Utilizes basic Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices where applicable.
  • Uses/sets up machines, such as arbor presses, stripping machines, crimping machines, torque wrenches/drivers, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
  • Utilize SAP-ME effectively and routinely and has a basic understanding of the Non-conformance (NC) process in ME.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • High school degree or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Requires a basic understanding of blueprint reading.
  • Able to place parts together as shown on the prints.
  • Must be able to frequently lift 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to dexterously manipulate a variety of sizes of parts repeatedly.
  • Ability to operate industry-standard hand tools.
  • Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal.
Cubic Pay Range

$19.00 - $23.00 + benefits. The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
