Job summary

Cubic Corporation in Ashburn, VA, is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving/Inventory Associate to receive, inspect, and process materials. You will work with SAP to record goods receipts, manage inventory, and coordinate shipments, including international ones, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Excel proficiency (sorting, filtering, formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming materials against POs and packing slips.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, and condition of goods received.
  • Process goods receipts and inventory transactions in SAP.
  • Investigate discrepancies and damaged materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and storage locations.
  • Prepare shipments and generate shipping documents.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
  • Track shipments and provide status updates.
  • Assist with cycle counts and annual inventories.
  • Support actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports using Excel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, and condition of goods received.
  • Process goods receipts and inventory transactions in SAP.
  • Investigate and report receiving discrepancies or damaged materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and storage locations.
  • Process goods receipts and inventory transactions in SAP.

  • Investigate and report receiving discrepancies or damaged materials.
  • Generate shipping documentation, labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and carrier paperwork.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers and freight providers.
  • Ensure compliance with company shipping procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Prepare customer shipments according to shipping instructions and delivery schedules.
  • Track shipments and provide status updates as needed.
  • Assist with scheduled cycle counts and annual physical inventories
  • Support corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Generate and analyze inventory, receiving, and shipment reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Track key logistics metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace/defense environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and cycle count processes.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping documentation.

Cubic Pay Range: $32.00 - $37.00 + benefits.
