Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Assembler in Traverse City, MI to join a precision optics manufacturing team. You will support cleanroom assembly operations, following detailed work instructions to assemble mechanical, electrical, and optical components within a controlled environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and manufacturing experience, with strong attention to detail and dexterity. Shift is 7:00am–3:00pm, Monday–Friday, with benefits including health plans and 401(k).

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity is required.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and optical components according to work instructions and specifications.
• Perform assembly in a clean manufacturing environment with contamination control practices (gloves, gown, etc.).
• Rotate between multiple assembly stations to support production flow and cross-team coverage.
• Complete in-process inspections and self-verification of work, using microscopes where required.
• Maintain safety, quality, and cleanliness, including ESD control.

Our client, an advanced manufacturing environment focused on precision optics products, is seeking an Assembler to join their team. As an Assembler, you will be part of the production team supporting cleanroom assembly operations.

Job Title: Assembler

Location: Traverse City, MI

Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience

Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday

What's the Job?

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and optical components according to work instructions and engineering specifications

• Perform assembly tasks in a controlled clean manufacturing environment while following contamination control practices (including use of gloves, gowns, and required procedures)

• Rotate between multiple assembly stations to support production flow and cross-team coverage

• Complete in-process inspections and self-verification of work, including use of microscopes where required

• Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, cleanliness, and procedural requirements, including ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly.

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and established procedures.

• Experience in precision assembly and cleanroom environments preferred.
