Job summary

ACL Digital in San Diego, CA seeks an assembler to join our manufacturing team, performing assembly of mechanical components, sub-assemblies and sheet metal enclosures. You will read assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics to assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks, following set methods and sequences.

The role involves hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling on assembly units, with routine go/no-go testing and setup of test devices using hand tools or automated methods.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to read and follow assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling on assembly units.

Job description

Performs a variety of operations to assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies and sheet metal enclosures. Works with assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics to assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling on assembly units.
