Job summary

Total Talent Solutions in Rainsville, AL is hiring an Assembler for 2nd shift (3 PM – 12 AM) with training on 1st shift. You will assemble components using hand tools, read instructions, and follow quality standards to keep production running smoothly.

Physical work includes lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for long periods. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical aptitude, and experience with production equipment or assembly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, control drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and production documents.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate coil winding equipment, including hand-guided bench lathe machines, hand winders, and multi-layer winding systems.
  • Prepare components for final assembly and testing by bending, shaping, cutting, sanding, soldering, and attaching wires or connectors.
  • Use pneumatic and hydraulic crimping tools, robotic welding equipment, and other production machinery.
  • Perform transformer potting operations using epoxy and silica sand while maintaining quality and waste control standards.
  • Utilize lift-assist equipment to safely move and position products throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in inventory activities and support efficient material flow within the facility.
  • Meet daily production, quality, and efficiency goals while maintaining 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
  • Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and company procedures while supporting changing production needs.

Pay Rate: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour ($15/hr. + $2 shift differential)
Schedule:2nd Shift | 3 PM – 12 AM
Training will be on the 1st shift from 6 AM – 2:30 PM

Education Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and work in confined or narrow spaces as required.
  • Comfortable working around machinery, production equipment, and typical manufacturing noise levels.
