Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a reliable Assembly & Production worker in Southern California. You will assemble electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical parts using hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision instruments, reading work orders, schematics, and engineering prints.

The role requires 1+ years of assembly experience, familiarity with SMD soldering, and the ability to read SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of assembly experience in manufacturing, electronics, or medical device environments preferred.
• Experience with SMD soldering or fine-wire assembly is a strong plus.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and SOPs.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift 25–30 lbs.

Job description

Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Production: Assemble electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical parts or sub-assemblies using hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision instruments. Read and accurately interpret work orders, schematics, engineering prints, and visual assembly instructions. Position, align, and secure components according to strict dimensional and fit requirements. Quality Control & Testing: Inspect raw components and finished assemblies for defects, alignment errors, or damage. Perform basic functionality and continuity tests using gauges, meters, or specialized test fixtures. Identify and report any recurring defect patterns or part shortages to department supervisors. Workplace Maintenance & Safety: Keep work areas, equipment, and tools clean, organized, and properly calibrated. Comply with all company safety policies, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards, and workplace hazards regulations. Log daily production quantities, time logs, and quality check records accurately. Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing, electronics, or medical device environment preferred. Prior experience in surface-mount device (SMD) soldering or fine-wire assembly is a strong plus. Technical Skills & Abilities: Proven ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for handling tiny or delicate components. Familiarity with common shop tools, torque drivers, calipers, and soldering equipment. Physical Demands: Capability to stand or sit for long periods during a shift. Ability to regularly lift up to 25-30 lbs.
