Job summary

Kelly is seeking a Light Assembly Worker in Chippewa Falls, WI to join a premier manufacturing client. You will review materials, assemble parts per orders, interpret blueprints, and help ensure quality and safety on the line.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in manufacturing, can read blueprints, and lift up to 50 pounds. The role offers a $20.00 per hour pay rate with first shift and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Review bills of materials and ensure parts are available per production schedule.
  • Prepare assembly parts per customer orders and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints to plan fabrication and assembly sequences.
  • Safely lift, position, and secure machined parts using hoists and vises.
  • Fitting and assembling parts to create dies using machining and hand tools.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances with precision instruments.
  • Participate in 5S, kaizen, and Lean initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

What’s a typical day as a Light Assembly Worker? You’ll be:
  • Reviewing bills of materials and ensuring all necessary parts are available in the assembly area according to the production schedule.
  • Preparing assembly parts per customer orders and specifications.
  • Preparing die bodies after chrome plating by stoning the surfaces.
  • Interpreting blueprints and/or specifications to plan fabrication and assembly sequences.
  • Safely lifting, positioning, and securing machined parts on worktables using hoists and vises.
  • Fitting and assembling parts to create dies, using various machining and hand tools.
  • Filing, grinding, shimming, and adjusting parts for proper fit.
  • Verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances using precise measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities, including 5S, kaizen, and other Lean initiatives.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, ensuring proper care of equipment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
