Job summary

Kelly is seeking a Light Assembly Worker / Material Handler in Florence, KY. Pay rate is $17/hr with 1st and 2nd shift options.

The role offers competitive weekly pay, a safe workplace, temp-to-hire potential, access to online certifications, and forklift training opportunities. Typical duties include packing auto parts, maintaining a clean work area, operating reach trucks and PITs, using RF scanners to pick orders, completing forklift inspections, and upholding excellent attendance and safety

Qualifications

• Have a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and pay close attention to safety.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experienced in warehouse, assembly, or material handling roles; PIT experience required for Material Handler duties.
• Able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Wear steel toe or composite shoes.

Responsibilities

• Pack auto parts on an assembly line and ensure quality inspection.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Operate reach trucks and other PITs as needed.
• Pick orders from racks using RF scanners, by truck and on foot.
• Complete forklift inspections and required documentation.
• Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility for overtime.

What’s a typical day as a Light Assembly Worker / Material Handler?

• Packing auto parts on an assembly line and ensuring quality inspection
• Keeping the work area and building clean and organized
• Operating reach trucks and other Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) as needed
• Picking orders from racks using RF scanners, both by truck and on foot
• Completing routine forklift inspections and necessary documentation
• Maintaining reliable attendance and flexibility for overtime
