ASRS Reliability Lead - Distribution Maintenance

Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a Distribution Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance of a highly automated distribution center and ensure uptime of the Dematic ASRS and related equipment in Virginia.

You will direct a team of technicians, drive a preventive and predictive maintenance program, and partner with operations to meet throughput and safety commitments. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical depth and people management skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a distribution, fulfillment or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Hands-on experience maintaining automated material-handling systems—ASRS, conveyors and sortation.
• Working knowledge of warehouse control/execution software.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills including PLCs and safety circuits.
• Ability to read electrical/electrical schematics and PLC logic.
• CMMS experience for work orders and PM management.
• Proficiency with general computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, availability and performance of Dematic ASRS and material-handling assets.
• Lead rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime and protect order fulfillment.
• Monitor system performance via warehouse software (e.g., Dematic iQ) and alarms.
• Plan and enforce a preventive maintenance program and manage spare parts.
• Introduce predictive maintenance practices to shift to proactive maintenance.
• Manage spare-parts inventory and critical-spares strategy.
• Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Build capability through training and vendor support.
• Plan staffing and shift coverage for continuous operation.
• Champion a zero-injury safety culture and enforce LOTO and NFPA 70E.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain maintenance and safety records.
• Conduct risk assessments and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Track metrics: uptime, MTBF, MTTR, PM completion, costs.
• Lead reliability and continuous-improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma.
