Regis in New Jersey is offering a 90-day Stylist-in-Training program designed to integrate an unlicensed individual into the salon workplace and prepare them for a licensed stylist role. You will learn customer service, business operations, and service promotion while supporting management and staff.

Eligible candidates may be promoted to stylist after obtaining the required license and demonstrating Regis values such as honesty and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a dynamic salon environment.
• Good time management and multitasking abilities.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills for professional communication with customers and staff.
• Basic computer knowledge including POS systems and data entry.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Market and grow the business by promoting services and retail products.
• Observe other stylists and managers to learn best practices.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
• Control expenses and adhere to company policies.
• Promote and sell services and retail products to customers.
• Answer phones, stock shelves, and keep the salon clean and organized.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the manager.
