Candidates should demonstrate ability to recruit, stage merchandise, manage inventories, and maintain cash controls while delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to recruit, hire, and train staff.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiar with store policies, safety and cash controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and storage of merchandise and pricing according to guidelines.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Operate store in store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
