Job summary

CVS Health is offering a Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program designed to develop future store leaders in Illinois. The 16-week, self-paced training combines virtual and hands-on experiences with support from a district leader, HR partner, and Store Manager coach.

Successful SMIT participants gain leadership exposure, learn merchandising and customer care, and prepare for potential promotion to Store Manager in the market. The role is full-time with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 16-week, self-paced training program to prepare for Store Manager responsibilities.
• Engage with District Leader, HRBP, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach to support growth.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to lead and support the team.
• Assist with customer care, merchandising strategies, and inventory management to drive store results.
• Be prepared to take on promotion roles within the designated market as opportunities arise.
