Bath & Body Works in Cedar Hill, TX, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to collaborate with the Store Manager to develop top talent, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive store growth. This role champions our brand, leads by example, and ensures selling excellence with a focus on team development.

You will coach, mentor, and motivate associates, manage daily operations, and uphold safety and company standards while achieving payroll and performance targets in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Must be available to work peak days and times, including varied shifts of evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear and concise performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues.
• Partner with Sales Leadership Team to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
• Implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize the business and bring the product story to life.
• Perform opening and closing routines including bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and communicating company directives.
• Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work.
• Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and selling focus.
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences through selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and product knowledge.
• Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing product information, and making personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
• Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates.
• All store positions require physical activity: standing, walking, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Maintain safe, clean, and engaging store environment by following safety standards.
