Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Carmel, Indiana is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a diverse team.

You will ensure excellent customer service, manage merchandising and store performance, and drive sales while maintaining inventory control and safety standards. The role requires coaching and developing staff, using KPIs to guide decisions, and collaborating across departments to meet budget and growth targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or in an equivalent role.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing associates to achieve customer service, operational, and business goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to identify opportunities, solve problems, and support business decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence others to drive store performance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the operations of all departments and the duties of store management.
• Perform scheduling, security, maintenance, safety, sanitation, ordering, administration and HR-related duties.
• Demonstrate Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
• Assist store manager in achieving a favorable customer shopping experience and developing associate interest in customer service/relations.
