Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in College Station, TX is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. You will learn all product areas, assist with merchandising, restocking, scheduling, and administrative duties to drive store performance.

The role develops leadership skills in a fast-paced retail environment, with emphasis on excellent service and promotion of merchandise. Reports to Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Take responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to help profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
