Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Columbus, OH to lead daily store operations, coach associates, and deliver exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes sales execution, staffing, and adherence to policies within a fast-paced retail environment.

The position is part-time and requires supporting store performance, training team members, and maintaining brand standards across the shop floor and backroom operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsupervised and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is absent.
• Lead store associates through LIDS training programs and goal setting; provide regular follow-up.
• Administer progressive discipline when needed and maintain a respectful team environment.
• Engage team to align work with company objectives and brand standards.
• Manage store scheduling and staffing, including calling in staff during peak periods.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure policy compliance and safeguard inventory, funds and property.
• Open and close the store as required and support store operations.
