Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Manager in Training in the Operations department. This role assists the Store Manager with daily store operations, inventory, merchandising, and customer service, while learning all product areas.

As an hourly, Non-Exempt position, it pays $12.65 per hour. The Manager in Training will assume supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence and help promote sales, service, and promotions to build loyalty.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Serve as acting supervisor in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Maintain inventory awareness and profitability across departments.
• Lead staff and ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Inform Store Manager about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and promote services and merchandise.
