Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Junior Recruitment Consultant for their Upington, Northern Cape operation. This entry-level role offers hands-on training across candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, client engagement and business development.

You will join a dynamic team, learn industry best practices, and gain exposure to a fast-paced recruitment environment while developing professional relationships with clients and candidates.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required; a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in working with people.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to achieve goals.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior consultants in sourcing and screening candidates for various positions.
• Conduct initial telephone interviews to assess candidate suitability and interest.
• Post job advertisements on relevant platforms and manage candidate applications.
• Schedule interviews between candidates and clients.
• Build and maintain a database of potential candidates.
• Learn and apply recruitment best practices and compliance standards.
• Provide administrative support to the recruitment team as needed.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development activities.
• Develop basic client relationship management skills through observation and supervised interaction.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
