Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager I to assist in overseeing electrical construction projects, ensuring profitability and strong client relationships. The role involves collaboration with project teams, scheduling, reporting, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will study bid specs, communicate with clients, and help deliver projects on time while traveling to job sites and conferences as needed. A bachelor’s degree in CM/CE or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience as Estimator or Project Engineer in electrical construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in CM/CE or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with a wide range of service management duties.
• Develop effective, efficient solutions to issues that may arise.
• Study bid specifications and drawings carefully.
• Communicate continuously with clients.
• Deliver on projects in a timely manner.
• Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera.
• Coordinate with crews, superintendents, and other departments to ensure safety and on-time delivery.
