Job summary

Electra USA in New York seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Electrical Division on commercial electrical construction projects. You will assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination, reporting to the Project Manager, and gaining exposure to all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical construction, commercial construction, project engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
• Working knowledge of project scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, change management, submittals, RFIs, billing, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Ability to identify project issues, gather information, develop practical solutions, and escalate as needed.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, accountability, sound judgment, and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in successful execution of commercial electrical construction projects, ensuring schedule, scope, and budget adherence.
• Assist with developing project scopes, objectives, schedules, and detailed plans; monitor milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to support efficient day-to-day execution.
• Identify and resolve project issues, escalating as appropriate; provide concise project reporting.
