Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) to deliver brushing, bathing, and nail trimming while learning to become a groomer through Paragon School of Pet Grooming via distance learning. A free tool kit worth over $600 is provided upon enrollment in the program.

You’ll work with neighbors and pets, ensuring safety and wellness, and help the team during grooming downtime. Evening/weekend flexibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or other industry working with pets is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning and demonstrating the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Always ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment inviting.
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.
