Job summary

Mapleton Public Schools is seeking a Nutrition Services Kitchen Manager in Training at the 7480 Broadway campus in Denver, CO. The role develops managerial competencies in menu planning, food production, inventory, and software use while supporting daily meal service.

You will work 173 days a year, 7.5 hours daily, with a non-exempt, hourly pay range. Requires ServSafe and a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in food service preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• ServSafe Manager Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of nutrition services and Health Department guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on training to develop proficiency with district software for planning and forecasting.
• Prepare food according to menus and tested recipes following safety standards.
• Serve meals to students according to recipes and safety procedures.
• Assist with daily production records, meal counts, temperature logs, and deposits.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and proper equipment operation.
