ARCO Design/Build in the United States is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our field team. You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project, working with experienced professionals to grow professionally.

You will lead preconstruction planning, scheduling, field leadership, subcontractor coordination, material management, cost tracking, and safety. This role requires strong communication and hands‑on leadership to keep projects safe, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon‑to‑be graduate of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program
• Interest in design/build, tilt‑up concrete, industrial builds
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Planning: attend post‑award meetings and assist with planning before work begins
• Project Scheduling: work with PM to develop schedules and staffing
• Field Leadership: oversee daily activities to meet safety, schedule, and budget targets
• Subcontractor Coordination: manage activities and coordinate across trades
• Material & Equipment Management: assist with deliveries, shop drawings, submittals
• Progress & Cost Tracking: help prepare reports and monitor costs
• Owner & Design Team Communication: maintain regular updates with stakeholders
• Jobsite Meetings: lead coordination meetings with PMs and team
• Documentation: maintain daily reports and records
• Safety Leadership: promote the safety program on site
• Team Collaboration: align office and field operations to deliver projects
