Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead on-site field activities, collaborate with the Project Manager on schedules, and coordinate subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget. You will work with experienced professionals committed to growth and project excellence, while advancing through a robust design/build environment.

Ideal candidates have a construction management background, strong communication skills, and a drive for hands-on problem

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• Strong interest in the construction process, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds, etc.
• Previous experience in construction preferred, but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and per project specs
• Develop construction schedules with the Project Manager, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure proper coordination across trades
• Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with planning before work begins
