Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support leasing, resident relations, and financial tasks. You will work closely with the Community Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and provide leadership in their absence.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, with preference for 2 years of property management experience and CALP certification as a plus. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Two years of property management experience preferred.
• Six months' experience as an assistant community manager preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CALP accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support leasing efforts by conducting tours, responding to leads, and guiding prospects through the leasing process.
• Identify prospect needs, showcase available homes, and invite them to join the community.
• Ensure lease applications, renewals, and related documents are completed accurately and on time.
• Meet occupancy goals through strong leasing performance and resident retention.
• Oversee rent collection, check scanning, and payment posting to ensure timely processing.
• Respond to resident concerns and deescalate issues with professionalism and empathy.
