Allan Myers in Leesburg, Virginia seeks a motivated individual to join a crew at an Asphalt Production Facility. You will operate automated drum and batch plant systems, work with quality control to meet specs, and support production to keep projects on schedule.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to learn. Training is provided, opportunities for growth exist within Allan Myers’ wide network of asphalt plants and heavy civil construction projects across the Mid-Atlantic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires basic mechanical skills and basic knowledge of computers.
• Mobile or stationary equipment experience is beneficial as is experience in the manufacturing or construction industries.
• Physical Demands - Labor can range from light to heavy; PPE and safety precautions are used.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant – automated drum and batch plant systems; operations controlled through automated computer systems and control boards.
• Communicate with quality control personnel to ensure specifications are met and adjust mix formulas accordingly.
• Monitor plant status, adjust plant as needed, load out material onto dump trucks, dispatch trucks.
• Communicate with internal paving crews, project teams, and external customers to optimize production and profitability while maintaining quality.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality and customer service.
• Keep plant running at optimal performance to avoid downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Schedule production needs for the following day and adjust for current day.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and reporting as needed.
• Assist in preventative maintenance on the plant and repairs; participate in winter maintenance as needed.
• Assist as an equipment operator (CAT 980/966 loaders, forklifts, etc.) and perform pre-shift inspections.
