APAC - Alabama, Inc. in Mobile, AL, is seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Operator to control production and load-out of materials.

The role focuses on plant equipment performance, minor servicing, and safety compliance, with work primarily in the Montgomery area. The operator will start up/shut down the plant, regulate material flow, monitor gauges, troubleshoot, and coordinate with maintenance to keep operations efficient and safe.

Qualifications

• Experience operating asphalt plants or similar industrial equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and minor servicing.
• Capable of initiating plant start-up and shutdown processes.
• Able to navigate computer screens to retrieve reports and communicate results.
• Must communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform walk-around survey of plant crushing equipment and identify maintenance issues.
• Initiate full plant start-up and shutdown processes and monitor system operations.
• Monitor critical gauges and computer data to maximize productivity.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and plant repairs, including lubrication and cleanup.
• Assist other operators or maintenance personnel during heavy tasks.
• Communicate issues and improvements to enhance efficiency while upholding safety and quality standards.
