Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH's South Central Division, seeks a general laborer for asphalt plant operations in Alabama. You may assist on heavy highway or production crews, performing tasks from shoveling to setting concrete forms while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have basic tool and math skills and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Attendance and a positive attitude are essential in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds and pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses; basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• One year of verifiable work experience preferred in road construction, quarry or asphalt plant.
• Maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general laboring duties at an asphalt plant.
• Assist on heavy highway crews or production crews as needed.
• Shovel, rake, move materials, set and strip forms, pour concrete, and maintain safety standards.
• Support housekeeping and comply with safety regulations.
