Job summary

Pennsy Supply Inc in Pennsylvania is hiring a plant operator responsible for daily production at our asphalt facility. You will help produce quality asphalt for customers while maintaining safe, efficient operations.

The role requires adherence to safety rules, proper equipment use, and accurate reporting of daily and weekly production data. Candidates with a high school diploma or GED are encouraged; asphalt plant experience is helpful but not required, with on-site shifts including nights or

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment in line with safety policies and proper use of equipment.
• Follow MSHA/OSHA/DOT safety rules and Pennsy Supply policies.
• Ensure high-quality asphalt production.
• Assign and load trucks to various locations.
• Order liquid asphalt as needed.
• Complete daily and weekly production reports.
• Perform routine daily maintenance on the asphalt plant.
• Attend offsite meetings and events as required.
• Comply with environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for the daily production of either a batch plant or drum plant to produce quality asphalt for our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
• Ensure quality production of asphalt materials
• Assign and load trucks to various locations
• Order liquid asphalt as needed
• Complete daily and weekly production reports
• Perform general daily maintenance on asphalt plant
• Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations
• Ensure that all government environmental regulations are followed
• Responsible for quality products
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.

Education and/or Experience

High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Previous experience in asphalt plant operation helpful but not required.
