Job Description: Asphalt Paving Worker

Ten Mile, a leader in excavating, pipeline, road construction, paving, and logistics services, is seeking self-motivated, career-driven individuals with experience in or willingness to learn asphalt paving. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate various asphalt paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, milling machines, and tack/tarring machines.
• Prepare construction sites by removing debris and waste.
• Shovel, rake, and finish asphalt, concrete, dirt, or other aggregates.
• Assist in traffic control and placement of traffic devices.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and handle materials and tools properly.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Assist in maintaining equipment cleanliness and orderliness.
• Use PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, high-visibility vests, steel-toe boots, and gloves.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards.
• Perform additional duties, including assisting other divisions as needed.
• Show initiative, willingness to learn, and teamwork.

Position Requirements:

• Experience in asphalt paving or road construction preferred.
• Pass pre-employment drug and background checks.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, nights, and overtime as needed.
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Professional attitude and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and outdoors environment.
• Report to work on time and follow supervisor instructions.

Work Environment:

This role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, moderate to high noise levels, and exposure to machinery noise.
