Job summary

Preferred Materials, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our Asphalt Division in Florida. The successful candidate will operate heavy equipment on road and site projects, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

You will perform routine maintenance and assist with asphalt finishing tasks under the Foreman’s guidance. Responsibilities include daily inspections, documentation, general labor, and following project-specific tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment on road, site, or highway projects.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform routine maintenance and report major problems.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist with shoveling asphalt materials and finishing machine maintenance.
• Perform general labor duties as directed.
• Work under Foreman's direction on daily tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
