Job summary

Preferred Materials, Inc., part of CRH Southeast Division, is the leading asphalt producer in Florida with offices across the state. The Loader Operator will move and load materials using heavy equipment in the asphalt plant area and support the Plant Manager in materials handling and safety practices.

Three years of public works maintenance/construction experience, CDL preferred, and ability to work long outdoor hours are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of public works maintenance and/or construction experience, with heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in outdoor settings.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth and materials safely.
• Perform pre-operational checks, and maintain equipment records.
• Assist Plant Manager with coordinating materials handling and equipment usage.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment capabilities and safety practices.
• Communicate effectively and maintain safety standards on site.
