Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division, part of CRH Southeast Division, is seeking an Equipment Operator to join a team maintaining roads and highways in Florida. You will operate heavy equipment, follow OSHA regulations, and support paving and grading tasks.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability; requires a GED or high school diploma and prior construction experience. Overtime may be required, and candidates should be able to lift 25-50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Previous construction experience preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment on road, site or highway projects.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe procedures.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to Foreman.
• Perform daily pre– and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist with shoveling asphalt materials and maintenance of finishing equipment.
• Follow Foreman directions for daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform general labor duties and other tasks as assigned.
