Job summary

Lone Star Paving is seeking an Asphalt Chip Spreader Distributor Operator to join our Central Texas team. You will work with the asphalt crew foreman to distribute stone chips, gravel, and aggregates, assisting with paving operations and quality control.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of paving equipment experience, a safety-first mindset, and a valid driver's license. Position is full-time, with overtime and travel across Texas as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years' experience operating paving equipment in asphalt
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Positive, friendly and professional; works well in team
• Adheres to safety policy and promotes safety culture
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate chip spreader distribution equipment.
• Evenly apply aggregate over surface treatments at required rates and specs.
• Inspect equipment before and after shifts; perform minor maintenance.
• Coordinate with foreman, superintendent, truck drivers, rollers and other operators.
• Keep accurate records of materials used and equipment maintenance.
• Perform general labor on asphalt paving, patching, or prep crews.
• Follow safety practices and wear PPE at all times.
