Job summary

Lone Star Paving is seeking a Common Laborer to join our paving crews across Central Texas. The role supports foremen and superintendents to ensure high-quality asphalt work and safe operations on site.

Responsibilities include shoveling, raking, tool handling, equipment cleanup, and potential use of small power tools. Occasional travel within Texas may be required, with full-time hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of asphalt production and associated equipment, and an understanding of operations and safety requirements is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, a plus
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching or prep crews.
• Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.
• Equipment cleanup as needed.
• May be called upon to run small power tools.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
• Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
