Job summary

The Washington Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth (CDHY) in Vancouver, WA is seeking a paraeducator to support deaf and hard of hearing students. This is a non-permanent, school-year position with a fixed schedule 7:30am–4:00pm Monday–Thursday and 7:30am–1:30pm Friday.

  • Fluency in ASL and written English required.
  • Experience in K-12 education settings preferred.
  • Ability to support deaf and hard of hearing students.
  • Willing to undergo background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom assistance and direct instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students per teacher plans.
  • Follow lesson plans and adapt instruction to individual needs.
  • Supervise students during lunch, transitions, and activities.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to student development and wellness.
