Job summary

Responsibilities include managing requests, maintaining records, coordinating assignments, and supporting staff training in language access policies.

Qualifications

• Advanced Medical Terminology in source and target language(s).
• Ability to interpret consecutively, simultaneously and perform sight translations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Demonstrate linguistic and cultural competence.
• Works effectively in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
• National Interpreter Certification (RID) or UIP Utah Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation in person, video or phone.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide unbiased interpretation.
• Follow policies and legal/ethical standards.
• Manage interpretation requests and keep accurate records.
• Coordinate interpretation assignments with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Language Services leadership and units.
