Job summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated ASL interpreter to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at a Fort Myers area school site. This full-time contract role focuses on clear communication for learners in both one-on-one and small-group settings.

You'll collaborate with educators and staff to promote inclusive learning environments, coordinating with teams on daily activities and school events. The position runs Monday–Friday, up to 37.5 hours per week through the school year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 EIPA score or higher.
• Experience in educational settings is highly valued.
• Current fingerprinting in the AHCA Clearinghouse system, or willingness to complete new fingerprints.
• On-site interpretation is required; virtual interpreting is not available.
• Strong command of American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with supporting diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sign language interpretation for DHH students throughout the school day.
• Facilitate clear communication between students, educators, and peers.
• Adapt interpreting approaches for one-on-one and group settings across a range of grade levels.
• Collaborate with educational teams to promote inclusive learning environments.
• Assist with classroom activities and school-wide events as needed.
