Job summary

Buckeye Union School District in Cameron Park is hiring a part-time Teacher Associate (Special Education) to support a hearing-impaired student. The role involves instructional and behavioral support, IEP collaboration, and small-group instruction during the school year.

Work hours are 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., 6 hours daily with Wednesday's schedule at 7:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. An ASL Certificate is required/preferred, and the position is located at Camerado Springs Middle School.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent is required.
• ASL Certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with the preparation and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support to special education students.
• Monitor and document student progress and communicate any concerns to the Special Education Teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and behavioral interventions as needed.
• Support students in developing social and life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure the confidentiality of student information.
