Job summary

Camanche Middle School is seeking an Associate Special Education to support students in both general and special education settings, under supervision of licensed teachers, implementing IEP accommodations and instructional supports.

This part-time role (29 hours/week) provides opportunities to assist with academic, behavioral, communication and social-emotional needs, promoting independence and dignity throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter Training is required.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of special education staff and licensed teachers to support students in general education and special education settings while implementing IEP accommodations, modifications, and instructional supports.
• Assist students with academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs while promoting independence, safety, and meaningful participation throughout the school day.
• Support students with daily living and personal care needs as needed, which may include toileting, feeding, hygiene, mobility, and functional life skills while maintaining student dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
