Job summary

Sorenson Communications is seeking an Outreach Trainer to educate customers on using VRS devices, travel to client sites for training and installations, and promote Sorenson services.

The role requires ASL fluency, strong communication, and willingness to travel up to 50-75% locally; it offers mileage reimbursement and being part of a team delivering accessible video relay technology.

Qualifications

• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience installing Sorenson VRS equipment and providing customer service.
• Excellent written and ASL communication skills.
• Have daily access to own transportation and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
• Strong computer skills; understanding routers, hubs, switches and internet setup.
• Must have Sorenson as default provider for work VP and mobile devices.
• Able to travel long distances by car or plane; 50–75% local travel.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on using ASL to navigate Sorenson VRS devices.
• Travel to customer homes and businesses for training, service calls and installations.
• Educate customers on features and benefits of SVRS services and products.
• Participate in events with Sales/Outreach and Marketing to educate institutions and organizations about VRS benefits.
• Lead seminars and training sessions with deaf constituents on using Sorenson services to communicate with hearing constituents.
