Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. seeks an ASL 1:1 aide to support a student with intensive behavioral needs in a K-12 setting. You will implement IEP goals, provide accommodation and behavior support, and work within a multidisciplinary team to promote student success.

With a focus on de-escalation, safety, and inclusive practices, you will help the student develop communication and life skills while recording progress and participating in crisis responses when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• ASL proficiency preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Ability to participate in team-based crisis responses and de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals and provide accommodations.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans in collaboration with the team.
• Record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Apply PBIS strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Assist with crisis management and safety during school hours.
• Foster an inclusive environment and communicate with parents and staff.
