Job summary

Amazon Leo in Seattle area is seeking an ASIC Emulation Engineer to define emulation bring-up environments for complex SOCs and system-level verification of Leo modems. You will write scripts, develop bare-metal code, test benches, and collaborate with RTL, verification, and silicon teams to drive hardware verification.

The role requires a BS in EE, 5+ years in SOC emulation, proficiency with Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL, C/C++, Python/Tcl/Perl, and hands-on experience with Cadence Palladium or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SOC emulation and validation.
• Strong expertise with Cadence Palladium or Mentor Veloce.
• Experience in emulation bring-up, environment setup, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL.
• Programming in C/C++ and scripting in Python, Tcl, or Perl.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Bare metal firmware development experience.
• Comfortable with AI-generated artifact review.

Responsibilities

• Build and bring-up emulation models for complex SOC designs
• Develop and maintain emulation environments and methodologies
• Debug complex hardware issues using emulation platforms
• Develop and maintain C++ based emulation testbench framework
• Create and execute verification test plans
• Interface with cross-functional teams including RTL and silicon validation
• Enable and partner with software team on software bring-up and root-cause bugs
• Optimize emulation performance and resource utilization
• Document processes, methodologies, and technical specifications
