Job summary

One Physics LLC in Asheville, NC is seeking a Health Physicist to support diagnostic imaging and radiation safety across hospitals and clinics. You will perform performance evaluations on x-ray equipment, assist with shielding analyses, and help ensure regulatory compliance under supervision of senior physicists.

The role involves travel between client sites in the North Carolina area and collaboration with RSOs and clinical staff to maintain ALARA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physics, health physics, radiologic science or related field.
• Experience in medical imaging or radiation safety environment preferred.
• Knowledge of NRC/PA regulations and ACR/IAS standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging equipment evaluations and annual surveys under supervision of licensed physicists.
• Assist with shielding evaluations and shielding design reviews for facilities.
• Support radiation safety programs and regulatory compliance activities.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for exposures exceeding ALARA.
• Provide on-site support during regulator inspections and audits.
• Participate in dosimetry monitoring and data interpretation.
