One Physics LLC in Asheville, NC is seeking a Health Physicist to support hospitals, imaging centers, and outpatient facilities by performing diagnostic imaging equipment evaluations and supporting radiation protection programs.

Under supervision of senior medical physicists, you will conduct acceptance testing, annual surveys, shielding evaluations, and assist with dosimetry programs while ensuring compliance with NRC, state regulations, and accrediting bodies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, medical physics, health physics, radiologic science, biomedical engineering, or related field (equivalent training/experience considered).
• Willingness to pursue CHP/ABSM or related credentials with mentorship from senior physicists.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Perform performance evaluations, acceptance testing, and annual surveys on diagnostic x-ray equipment under supervision of a medical physicist.
• Assist in audits and inspections of radiation safety programs for NRC/state regs and accreditation standards.
• Develop and review Radiation Protection Programs and related procedures for medical clients.
• Monitor and interpret occupational dosimetry data; prepare reports and corrective actions for exposures exceeding ALARA.
• Support shielding evaluations and design reviews for imaging facilities.
