Job summary

Reworld Waste is hiring a Utility Operator to run and maintain ash handling and metal recovery equipment in the Residue Storage and Processing Building. You will perform routine operations and inspections, log results, and assist with boiler cleanings.

The role requires the ability to read procedures, communicate with supervisors, and handle equipment safely on rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends. Forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma preferred or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret documents like procedures and manuals
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers

Responsibilities

• Operate bottom ash transfer conveyors, ash silos, fly ash screws, pugmills, ferrous magnet, ECS conveyor and related equipment daily.
• Fill out daily log sheets after inspections and rounds.
• Assist in boiler cleanings and maintain cleanliness of ash removal systems.
• Keep work areas clean; ensure equipment is properly maintained and labeled.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance activities.
• Complete scheduled Operator Qualifications Standards as required.
• Operate forklifts and move materials as needed.
