Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Utility Operator to operate ash handling and metal recovery equipment in the Residue Storage and Processing Building, performing routine operations and inspections of the residue and metal recovery systems.

The role features a rotating 12-hour shift, including nights, weekends and some holidays, with potential overtime. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, tolerate high temperatures, and have forklift experience or training.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma preferred.
• Forklift driving experience a plus.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Formal technical or apprentice training desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Operate bottom ash transfer conveyors, ash silos, fly ash transfer screws, pugmills, ferrous magnet, ECS conveyor and related equipment.
• Fill out daily log sheets and inspect equipment.
• Participate in boiler cleanings.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
• Perform lockout and tag out procedures in maintenance contexts.
• Complete Operator Qualifications Standards.
• Drive forklifts.
