Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations seeks an Assistant Utility Operator to monitor and operate ash handling and auxiliary plant equipment from the field, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. You will handle maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation with guidance, while communicating clearly across channels.

Requirements include mechanical maintenance experience, ability to rotate shifts, and MA Hoisting License 1C/2A or the ability to obtain it within 9 months.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance and minor repairs on ash handling and auxiliary systems.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Must obtain MA Hoisting License 1C/2A within 9 months if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs to ash handling and other auxiliary systems.
• Operate plant equipment with guidance to ensure proper functioning.
• Communicate clearly verbally and in writing via intercom, radio, or face to face.
• Anticipate problems and take appropriate action.
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist in diagnosing problem areas.
• Operate forklifts, manlifts, skid steer loaders and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain a positive work environment with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
