Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Utility Operator to ensure proper operation and maintenance of ash handling and metal recovery equipment in the Residue Storage and Processing Building. You will perform routine operations, inspections, and participate in boiler cleanings.

The role requires a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, with overtime. GED/HS diploma and basic training are preferred, along with forklift experience and the ability to read procedures.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma required or GEDWorks program available.
• Forklift driving experience a plus.
• 3–6 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Formal technical or apprentice training desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, procedures, and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of bottom ash transfer conveyors and associated equipment.
• Perform daily routine inspections and log results.
• Participate in boiler cleanings and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
• Perform lockout/tagout in support of maintenance activities.
• Complete scheduled Operator Qualifications Standards.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment.

Education

GED/HS Diploma preferred

Technical training desirable
